Life & Executive Coaching Approach & Process

Life & Executive Coaching Approach & ProcessCoaching typically takes place via phone conversation. The coaching can also be done face-to-face if feasible. There are advantages to phone conversations. They save time and money. The client can prepare for the session with answers to questions provided by the coach via e-mail prior to the session. Homework assignment can be completed and discussed. Coaching sessions can be arranged at various times and situations.

The client is recommended to start with one or two months of regular weekly sessions. In this way, the coach and the client can quickly build up rapport and set up a workable plan to accomplish the client’s goals. This more intensive effort can be scheduled on a biweekly and then monthly basis as the client feels ready.

It is also suggested that the client begin with longer, 45 minute, sessions. This will allow greater time for discussion and planning. As the client becomes more familiar with the process, the sessions can be decreased to the shorter 30 minute sessions. It is important that the client knows the coach will be available to follow-up sessions in the months ahead. The Executive Coach will provide e-mail and phone support as needed.
